Starting Our 13th. Year of Service in 2010

Special Update...........

This is an update on the status on the National Survey of Residential Care Facilities (NSRCF).  The National Center for Health Statistics just launched the critical phase of the first-ever national study of assisted living/residential care on April 26.  Approximately 3,600 communities throughout the United States have been randomly selected to participate in the study.  Phone calls are being made by RTI International to schedule in-person interviews with selected providers.  The early response rate to participate has been excellent-----nearly 500 communities have already agreed to be interviewed for the study.  By law, all data collected and released will be kept in strict confidence and used only for statistical purposes and no individual provider, staff or resident can be identified.  The interviewing process will continue through October of this year.  We strongly encourage your participation in this national survey, if contacted. Results from this study are expected to be released in the 1st quarter of 2012.  To learn more about the NSRCF, visit the website:  www.cdc.gov/nchs/nsrcf.htm.
